After confronting Karayiannas with their lies, we shocked them with our intent to keep the house and inform others with our story to all. They sent these letters. The first (below) was sent via email and faxed by George Pittadjis to our solicitor the same day I was assaulted.

Their first point:-
- You failed to pay in time the two installments related to the completion of brick work
and the plastering of £26.000 each i.e. £52.000 in spite of the fact that you saw
yourselves the above works done and in spite their demand
This is total lie and one easy to prove. Contrary to their claims of “demands” made for payment of the “brick work” stage we can prove that we did nothing but chase Karayiannas for a response and acceptance for the money of that stage. (listen to the audio of the meetings!) We sent the money to our solicitor the same week as the certificate was shown. Marios Karayiannas sent me home to come up with a solution to the problem they caused. The delay in payment was with consent and no demands were given. See also Section 20 of my contract regarding Notices below.
20. NOTICES
All notices provided for herein shall be in writing and may be personally delivered or mailed registered or certified mail, return receipt requested at the addresses referred to at the preamble of this agreement or such other address as a party shall from time to time direct by written notice to this effect to the other party. If a notice is personally delivered or sent by registered or certified mail, it shall be deemed given upon receipt or refusal of delivery.
Their claim that the “plastering” stage payment was requested for, is simply not true. We never received and indeed they still have never sent an engineer’s certificate confirming completion for the “plastering stage”. (Look at the dates; it’s not even possible to ask for TWO stage payments the same month)
Their Second point:-
- Instead of these, you defame the company in the internet and by disseminating cards
and documents containing false information and statements about my clients. Such
behavior constitutes civil wrongs and criminal offences
Defamation:
In law, defamation is the communication of a statement that makes a false claim, expressly stated or implied to be factual, that may harm the reputation of an individual, business, product, group, government or nation.
There is no defamation on this website
- every quote has audio proof
- every document and photo speaks for itself. |
The “Law-Courts” will decide which terms of the contract are essential and whether Karayiannas have rightfully cancelled. Under no circumstances are Karayiannas entitled to keep the money already paid to them. CYP 66,000. This is unlawful. WE will be seeking damages through the law courts.
This letter from George Pittadjis came by post a month later:-

Thank you Karayiannas for your clear intention of “never ever” completing the contract and “never ever” delivering the house to us. Karayiannas are so “ever ever” in breach of the contract for which we fully reserve our rights to compensation. We do take this opportunity to “ever ever” thank Karayiannas for stating their intentions so clearly.
In November 2006 Karayiannas filed a statement of claim against us. In this statement to the courts they claim we breached our contract by amongst other things not paying for the frame stage of our build.
Here is the receipt for that payment:-

Their lies are that easy to prove.
Listening back to the audio we feel it was Karayiannas plan to say anything to entice us into the contract, then pressure us into cancelling it once we had paid for a few stages and resale at a higher price to someone else when that extra land along side became available.
