There are of course many reasons why you are allowed to tape your business conversations. Click here to see why our chief of police did it.
Investigative journalists do it all the time, its on our TV screens every night, but the most important reason is to "prevent and detect a crime". Without my taping, Christoforos Karayiannas would have got away with assaulting me and Marios would never have been arrested for criminal damage.
Just like “watchdog” “rouge traders” and “builders from hell” this is a perfectly acceptable.
Don’t get confused about invading someone’s private life or a 3rd party intercepting your conversations that’s a different matter.
As for publishing the material well I think you’ll agree it’s in the public interest and certainly of great interest to family's buying a property in Cyprus.
